HYSTERIA CLASSIC ALBUM DVD
Highly Recommended!
With this DVD already having been released in Europe I've managed to purchase my own copy. Of course I was going to buy this disc as it reviews the most successfull album in Def Leppard's history, not to mention the fact that Steve Clark worked on creating this album as well.

I waited impatiently for the postman to deliver the DVD to my door and as soon as I had some time available to myself I watched it. It really is a very very good indepth 'documentary', if I can call it that, about the creation of the album from start to finish, featuring interviews with various people who had involvement with the band/record companies/management etc.

It's interesting to hear Phil talk about how he and Steve would work with parts in the studio together, and it's also fascinating to see his demonstrations of pieces of songs too.

There is a nice section where the band pay tribute to the vital input that Steve put into Def Leppard and the creation of the music. For me it was touching and very nice. My only disappointment was that the actual video footage of Steve featured that had never before been seen was only a mere 20 seconds or so. But it was worth it just for that 20
seconds alone! I guess myself and other die-hard Steve fans could get their hopes up (I know I did a little bit) thinking that perhaps we are going to be lucky and get a 15 minute interview with Steve that had never before been released, but it was not to be.

However, despite that, I know myself that Steve contributed in a big big way to the success of this band. Nothing could ever change that fact. I'd say that for every Leppard fan out there, this is an essential item to add to your collection if you want to learn more about the glory days of the bigest rock band of the 1980s.
And for guitarists out there, it's also a must!
